Hi Everyone

Yes its me again a little bleary eyed and a trifle under the weather but ready for a daily report. Last night saw yours truly in London, a thing a few of us have been doing for some time, a night in the smoke recreating lost nights of drunken abandonment when we were a lot younger and a lot less worldly wise. But that as they say is in the past, we enjoyed ourselves had one or two libations and visited a few old haunts which still miraculously still survive. Now I saw London first in the early 70's and it has changed but then so have I. The music scene from what we experienced isn't the same but no doubt today's young will think me a dinosaur.

Speaking of which brings me nicely to today's thought. I remember when to contact anyone you would invariably use a phone in a red painted telephone box. First you would need change then you had to remember the number then you had to remember which button to press was it A or B I was never sure. But then a revolution occurred and almost every home had a telephone at home can any one else remember their parents putting locks on the dials to stop us children using them too much or was that just our family?

many years later after sending telegrams and faxes (whatever happened to the humble fax machine) the mobile phone arrived a huge brick like thing with a battery the size of a holdall but we thought we were the bees knees when we got our first one but who to call no one else we knew had a mobile. Now we take them for granted they are so small i lose mine every day and the humble red phone box has all but past into history.

What made me lament the change in communications? Well i was looking at this blog and i suddenly realised that the thoughts i put here are teleported all over the world at the click of a button, people in America Russia  and Australia to name but a few see what rubbish i think and write so i would humbly apologise to you all but its great isn't t it, the world truly has shrunk. in the past what thirty years.
